We’ve known each other since high school, but didn’t connect romantically until 2010. After several years apart, we reconnected through Facebook — and it didn’t take long for old familiarity to turn into something new. At the time, Dustin was a Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor with a deep passion for fitness. Rae, looking for help learning how to work out, reached out — and what started with fitness lessons quickly grew into something much bigger.
We fell for each other through laughter, encouragement, and a strong foundation of friendship. In 2012, we were married, ready to face the world as a team. Over the years, our relationship has only deepened, built on trust, shared dreams, and unconditional support for one another.
Though we’re different in many ways — Dustin brings steadiness and strength, while Rae brings creativity and heart — we balance each other in all the right ways. Life together is full of laughter, meaningful conversations, and a lot of love.
Growing our family has always been a dream close to our hearts. We feel incredibly honored to be on this journey toward adoption. We cannot wait to share our lives — and our love — with a child, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to share a piece of our story with you.
Dustin is a Marine veteran and currently works as a building engineer. He’s known for being caring, attentive, and impressively handy — the kind of person who can watch a tutorial once and suddenly know how to do the task like a pro. He enjoys being outdoors, staying active, and takes pride in meal prepping and cooking at home.
A self-proclaimed sneakerhead, Dustin has a growing collection of sneakers — including a special stash he’s already begun for a future little one. Around kids, he lights up — roughhousing with nieces and nephews, playing games, and fully engaging in the moment. It’s easy to imagine him as the kind of dad who’s always up for an adventure, whether that’s building a blanket fort or teaching a little one how to fish. His mix of strength, playfulness, and dependability make him someone both kids and adults naturally gravitate toward.
Rae owns and works at a hair salon, where her bubbly personality and kind heart shine through in everything she does. She has a natural gift for connecting with people, and children in particular seem to gravitate toward her — even those she's just met.
In her free time, Rae enjoys crafting, spending time outdoors, and diving into new things to learn. She’s known for her creativity, her warmth, and the way she makes those around her feel genuinely cared for.
With a nurturing spirit and a deep love for family, Rae looks forward to becoming the kind of parent who offers both comfort and encouragement, creating a home filled with laughter, learning, and unconditional love.
Daisy is our sweet 12-year-old pup and the heart of our home. She’s gentle, loyal, and full of personality — especially when fries are involved. Truck rides are her favorite, and she’s always up for a walk, a beach adventure, or a well-earned pup cup.
Despite her senior status, Daisy still has plenty of pep in her step and is happiest when she’s near her people. She has a calm, loving presence and, and we know she’ll be a sweet and steady companion to a little one someday, just as she’s been to us all these years.
We live in a cozy, welcoming split-level home in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, about 30 minutes south of Seattle. It’s a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We're just 10 minutes from a local beach — perfect for sunny walks, dipping toes in the water, or collecting rocks and seashells — and about an hour from the mountains, where we love to explore and enjoy nature.
Our home has three bedrooms, including a nursery already set aside for a future little one. There’s a grassy backyard for playing and relaxing, and plenty of space inside to unwind, enjoy meals together, or host family and friends. With both a living room and a family room, there’s always room to play, rest, or simply be together.
We live on a calm street where neighbors wave hello and kids are often outside. There’s a toddler who lives next door and grandkids who frequently visit the neighbors on the other side — adding a family-friendly, welcoming feel to the block. An elementary school is just a half-mile from our front door, and we’re close to two community centers — including one with a waterslide and lazy river we can’t wait to enjoy with a little one someday.
Our average weekend is simple and meaningful. We usually go to the gym, grocery shop for the week, take Daisy for a walk, and go out for dinner. Sometimes we take short drives to explore or relax at home with a good movie or music in the background.
Our home is more than a place — it’s a space full of love, comfort, and we can’t wait to grow our family here.
